Safety

Contraflow is an industry leader in the provision of safe and reliable services, specialising in the provision of services to support the electrical distribution network of Western Australia. All of our practices are designed to ensure that the safety of our employees, sub-contractors and the general public are assured before we begin any works.  

Contraflow has a corporate governance policy which sees us strictly adhere to ISO 140001, AS4801 and ISO9001, and we have sort accreditation through ISO for each. Through regular external auditing, responsible employee communication and employee involvement, we are able to make sure that all of our standards are constantly re-aligned to suit our changing business needs.
We believe in safety first, because safety saves lives.
In accordance with this, Contraflow has a zero tolerance drug and alcohol policy and undertakes random drugs tests to actively enforce this strategy.

Contraflow has a committed OHS/E manager, who has the responsibility of implementing the OHS system to AS4801-2008. We also ensure that all of our staff remain up-to-date with the latest training and are supplied with the highest quality equipment, so that they have the right tools to perform to our high standards of quality workmanship and safety standards.

Environment

Contraflow has implemented an Environmental Management System to ISO 14001-2008. This system controls all of Contraflow's activities and accurately manages all impacts on the environment. Environmental Management Plans are also implemented for larger projects.

Contraflow has on staff a qualified environmental scientist, specialising in Environmental Impact Assessment. For all projects and works, we follow the producer of identifying environmental impacts, communicating these to staff, and then mitigating and implementing strategies to ensure all of our works are undertaken in a sustainable way to minimise the effects we have on the environment.

At the centre of our environmental strategy is education of all our staff, so that they are all aware of the impact their activities have. Where possible we use carbon offsets to make our activities carbon neutral.

Quality Assurance

Contraflow strictly adheres to ISO9001-2008 to manage and control all of its operations and auditing requirements. This system ensures quality measures are in place for all our operations and procedures to achieve the highest standard possible for our clients, employees and stakeholders.
Regular auditing of this system ensures we are continually improving and maintain our high standards throughout all our activities.
